Since I was a little girl I always minded my neighbour kids as they were younger than me. It was there that I discovered my love for kids and how much fun it is to watch an take care of them. So about 3 years ago I started watching 2 girls regularly mostly in the evenings so I also bring them to bed, when I started they were 1 and 3 years old. For 4 years now I have also been part of the ‚Jungschar‘ where we spend a morning with 6-14 year old kids and we do lots of different activities. We also host a week of camping with those kids every summer. After finishing school (with Matura) I moved to Ireland as an AuPair for 6 months. The kids were 4, 6 and 8 years old (2 boys and 1 girl). I did homework with them, drove them to their afterschool activities and of course did lots of playing, singing, baking, playing football, dancing and lots of laughing. Since I am back in Austria I am spending 2 full days with a 18 month old boy when he comes back from kindergarden also his 3 year old brother.
This autumn I will start to study in Vienna and I want to keep minding kids in my free time and making sure that parents get a break too every once in a while.
