About me

Hi, I’m Valerie — editor and artist.

Cats have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with six wonderful cats over the course of 20 years. My love for cats has remained, even though I don’t currently have one of my own.

I’m experienced with both playful youngsters and senior cats, love to join in on wild chases, and most of all, I enjoy cuddles and being purred on. I can fit up to two cats on my lap at once :D I’m also very familiar with grooming and have been cleaning litter boxes like a pro since 1999.

I’ve also bonded successfully with shy and cautious cats. I bring a lot of patience when it comes to animals that are timid, anxious, or have a history of trauma.

I’ve administered medication a few times (though not injections).

Since every cat is different, I value having a conversation beforehand to get to know your cat’s needs and to give both your pet and me the chance to get acquainted.

I’ll be happy to send you photos and updates of your furry friend while you’re away :)

With a proper introduction, I may also be able to help care for other pets.
