About me

I bring a student-centred, strengths-based approach to tutoring, shaped by over a decade of experience working with children, youth, and young adults across many learning styles and abilities. My background in social work, education-adjacent roles, and one-on-one support has taught me how to meet students where they are, build trust quickly, and create a learning environment that feels safe, encouraging, and motivating.

For younger students, I focus on making learning engaging and approachable. I use play-based strategies, visuals, movement, and real-world examples to support attention and comprehension, while reinforcing confidence and curiosity. I keep sessions structured but flexible, so students feel supported without pressure.
With elementary and middle-school students, I help break concepts down into manageable steps, reinforce foundational skills, and develop organization and study habits.
